Sweet sister moment

One night, my neighbor Becky came over to watch the kids while I went somewhere. When I went to check on the girls, I looked in Kendall's bed and she wasn't there. I checked my bed and she wasn't there either. I should have known better and just checked in Megan's bed. They were so cute there together. In the morning, I asked Megan why Kendall fell asleep with her and she said "Well, I asked her if she wanted to". I love that my girls love each other. Kendall loves her siblings and misses them while they are gone at school or anywhere for that matter. She will ask "Where's my Megan?", "Where's my Dilan?", "Where my Atwood?" or "When will my kids be home from school?" It really is pretty cute.

Costume time...

This year, I had an adorable blue ballet costume for Kendall to wear. Megan actually wore it for her dance recital a few years back. Kendall loves to dress up in it so I assumed she would love to be a dancer for Halloween. As time got closer and we started talking about costumes, she kept saying she wanted to be Spider Girl. I figured I could convince her otherwise over the next three or so weeks, but obviously my convincing failed. Seriously though, she has got to be the CUTEST Spider Girl we have ever seen!

Atwood came up with his own costume this year. He is Underdog. My kids saw this movie at Grandma and Grandpa Lewis' a while back and so Atwood found our dog costume and put the Superman cape on it. He was very proud of Underdog.
Megan and Dilan absolutely love Harry Potter. Megan is Hermione. She loves to braid her wet hair at night and then in the morning when we take out her braids she has "Hermione hair"!

Dilan as Harry. Unfortunately the glasses would not stay on very well so he actually didn't wear them with his costume, just for pictures.

Pumpkin Carving

This year we let the kids decide if they wanted to paint their pumpkin or carve it. Kendall opted for painting. She was very excited to paint the pumpkin she got at the pumpkin patch.

I can always count on Megan to get down and dirty. She is always the first one of the kids to get their hands in there and get busy!
Aaron was busy helping Dilan. He does not love to have his picture taken and obviously thinks it is pretty funny when he doesn't look at me for the picture. I tell the kids if they don't let me take their picture, they are going to be grounded. Evidentally Aaron needs to be grounded!

Atwood actually got his hands in and got a little messy this year.

And...here are the finished products. Of course Megan's is the one with the star nose. Kendall's is the cute painted one (with a little help from mom). Dilan's had the angry triangle eyes.

And of course there is Atwood's. The boys wanted scary looking pumpkins, but we did our best. When we talk about Halloween decorations, I always tell the kids that I like cute stuff and they say "Mom, Halloween is supposed to be spooky and scary".

Pumpkin patch

This year, I got to go to the pumpkin patch with both Megan and Kendall on school field trips. Believe it or not both days were actually dry. Freezing cold, but dry. For Megan's field trip, we went to a farm in Enumclaw. She was so excited and loved every minute of it.

For Kendall's field trip, we went to Maris Farm in Buckley.

She actually had a great time walking around and exploring.

They have a cow train at this farm and Kendall was very excited. When I got home and put the pictures on our computer, I remembered that I had a picture of Megan the exact same age as Kendall.
