6 inches shorter...

So, Aaron and I and some good friends went to the Sonics game last Friday night. One of the Sonic dancers had the cutest haircut. This inspired me to maybe try something new.

Here is my before picture...if you look really close behind Kendall's left ear, you can just barely see the line of my hair across my gray sweatshirt. Anyway, that is how long my hair was.

Here is the after:
I found a picture of a cute haircut and color and decided to go nuts and cut off 6 inches and try something different. For some, this might not be so monumental, but for me, this is a big thing.

My younger sister said that because I have had the same hairstyle (long) for 20 years, which by the way is so not true, it was worthy of blogging about!

Bad blogger...

For our Christmas card this year, instead of writing a letter, we decided just to put our blog address on the card so people can see what has been happening in our lives. Well, I was informed by some friends that if we put our blog address on, it might be good to update the blog.

This update is my first one since December 2nd. How sad is that? Well, I am going to make it my personal goal to update my blog each Sunday.

I will start with once a week and see how I do.

Merry Christmas!

Back in July of 2007, Megan drew these pictures of Santa and Rudolph that she wanted to put out with the cookies and milk. She rolled them up, put a rubber band around them and put them in one of the kitchen drawers. On Christmas Eve, she found her pictures and put them out for Santa to take. I thought they were so cute, I had to snap a picture of them before Santa took them.

We had a great Christmas this year. We spent Christmas Eve with Aaron's family at his parents home in Mt. Vernon. For the past at least four years, Aaron has had to work on Christmas at the firestation. This year, he had the day off so he was able to spend all of Christmas day here at home with us. The kids were very excited to have dad home for the whole day.

Santa left one extra present this year for the family. It was a Wii. We have had so much fun playing with it.

Santa brought Dilan an electric scooter to ride around the neighborhood on.

Santa brought Atwood a Spiderman Scooter.

Santa brought Megan a Leapster and princess game.

Because he is getting so stinkin' tall, Dilan needed a bigger bike so that is what he got from mom and dad.

Megan got her first Littlest Petshop toys this Christmas. She has so much fun in her closet with her Littlest Petshop, Pollys, and Barbies (her walk-in-closet is more of a walk-in playland!)

Atwood loves playsets that have little figures to go with them. Mom and dad got him a pirate ship and he has been playing pirates ever since!

Atwood is getting ready for school next year so Santa knew these would help!

Megan had been asking for Shrek the Third since she saw it in the movie theater with her friend Madison!

Kendall really loves her big brothers. She gets to spend a lot of time with Atwood during the day when Megan and Dilan are at school.

I love my boys...

Aaron was able to capture this moment for us. The boys are so cute. Atwood loves Dilan and wants to do things just like him.

Dilan is great and plays with Atwood a lot. My boys are the best!

Happy Birthday Megalicious!

Megan had a great birthday. It feels like we celebrated it all week long.

(I put these pictures in backwards so we will start from Saturday's party and work our way back). On Saturday was her third and final celebration.

We had a cute group of girls over for a princess party. They came all dressed up and ready for dancing and singing.

First was pizza!

Then of course presents...

This is Megan's cute friend Grace. They met in Kindergarten this year. I swear these two will be friends FOREVER! As soon as they get together (which is easily at least two to three times a week after school) they change clothes. It can be pajama party day, dress up day, or even just sweats, but they love changing clothes. They really are absolutely adorable.

And don't forget cupcakes!

Here is Megan with a smile that never ended that day. She had so much fun with all of her friends.

OnWednesday she took her treats to school to celebrate with her class. In the evening her cousins came over for cake and ice cream. It is always a fun time when the cousins get together.

To start the week off, we took the kids to see Santa and then went to Red Robin for dinner. The kids gave Megan some coloring books, glitter crayons, twistables. She was so excited, you would have thought we gave her a million dollars! She has been wanting a desk for her room for a long time so that is what mom and dad got for her. She was very excited and now spends a lot of time up on her bedroom making wonderful pictures for everyone!

I think overall, she would have said it was a great week!
