Kendall's comfort

So each child usually has one thing they always do for comfort or when they are tired. For Dilan, it was me. For Megan, it was her blanket. For Atwood, he had his thumb for a while and then a blanket. For Kendall it is two fingers and her blanket. It is so cute to watch. Some day when she is like 8, if it doesn't stop, it might not be quite as cute. She just brings her blanket to her face and sucks on two fingers. You can just see her little thumb poking out here.

We try to capture the picture, but as soon as she sees us with the camera, she starts smiling and the moment is over. This one turned out pretty good though.

First snow!

It snowed for the first time of winter on December 1st. We don't always get as much snow as I would like, but it was enough for the kids to go play outside.

Kendall was happy to just watch from inside. The kids kept throwing snowballs at the window and she thought it was hilarious.

Dress-up + make-up = Lots of fun!

Here is Megan with her little friend Sadie. Sadie lives two doors down and they are in the same class at school. This particular day, they were playing "fashion castle" with Megan's little poodles.
A little bit of lip gloss goes a long way.

Madison had just wiped off her make-up when we got out the camera, but her smile is still adorable!

She finally has top teeth...

Ok, so you can barely see it, but she really does finally have two top teeth. It has been much nicer to feed her now. She quit eating baby food a few months back, but without top teeth, it wasn't quite as easy to bite. Now, she is lovin' life because she can pretty much bite off and eat everything that the rest of us do.

I am not sure that she actually ate very much of her cupcake.

She just like to feel it and rip it apart.
This is pretty much as messy as she got.

Being 1 is so much fun

We absolutely love this little lady. She really is so funny. She is also very loud. She loves to smile and totally cheeses it for the camera. She can be totally crying about something or upset, but as soon as she sees that camera, she is a whole different girl. She turned 1 November 1st.

And yes, she is totally teething. Our kids start drooling bad when they are about four months old. Kendall didn't really cut her first tooth until she was 10 months, but the drool just keeps coming. She still only has four teeth so I am sure you will see quite a few more nasty shirt pictures from her. When we go out in public, I like to change her, but here at home we just let it flow!

Fun with friends...

Who are these masked men?
Ok, so more like masked boys. This is Jake (holding the pumpkin) and Atwood dressed as Spiderman. It was all we could do to get them to stand still while we snapped a quick picture. They both had lots of energy that night.

Here we have Miss Madison dressed as Elina (from Barbie in Fairytopia) and of course Miss Megan as Rosella (from Barbie as the Island Princess). These girls are seriously SO funny when they play together. They both have great imaginations and you never know what kind of story they might be acting out!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Dilan dressed up as Boba Fett (from Star Wars), Megan as Princess Rosella (from Barbie as the Island Princess),

and Atwood was Spiderman.

Kendall was a cute little ladybug...if you can really believe it, I did not even get a picture of her.

I have a billion other pictures of her, but missed the one from Halloween.

Pumpkin carving...

Megan was the only one of the kids who would take out the pumpkin guts!

Not only did she touch it, she ate it too...just kidding!

I couldn't get the boys to even touch the inside of the pumpkins...
They settled on pretending to eat the insides too!

Swimsuits in October???

We recently got a hot tub. The kids have had fun playing in it. Even though it is smaller, they still think it is just like a pool for swimming, diving, etc. It is funny to listen to Dilan and his two friends try to play Marco Polo in a hot tub.

Megan is showing off her diving skills...look at that form. Pretty impressive for her first time huh? She thinks she is amazing and that is all that matters!

Pumpkin Patch

Of course, Kendall is hitching a ride back with dad.

Fortunately, we picked a nice, warm sunny day to go to the pumpkin patch. Don't get me wrong, it was still plenty muddy, but at least it wasn't raining.

Kendall's favorite part of the pumpkin patch was sitting in the wheelbarrow with the pumpkins. When I took her out, she just cried and cried.

The pumpkin patch we go to had a spongebob theme this year. We had to search through the corn maze for hidden yellow mailboxes. Inside these mailboxes were stickers. We had to collect the stickers and then find our way to the crabby shack to create a crabby patty. After doing this, we found our way out and the kids got their prize. The kids had a blast!

Usually she is all smiles for the camera. However, sometimes I am sure she is just thinking "Ok, I am done with the camera thing!"

These must be two of those moments.

Another visit from the tooth fairy

All he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth! (I always wanted to sing that song as a kid, but the timing never quite worked out).

Kids being kids!

So, one Sunday after church, the kids were playing on the stairs sliding down on blankets or something. Aaron saw them and told them to all go get their sleeping bags because he needed to show them something.

Of course he had to demonstrate, but the rest of the night, the kids were occupied. AND-nobody got hurt!

Pictures for everyone...

While we were getting pictures of the three little girls, the other kids wanted to join in the fun. So we have Boni's son Cole, then Boni's daughters Hallie and Lexi, then Robyn's daughter Brynn, my daughters Kendall and Megan, Boni's daughter Courtney, and Robyn's daughter Brooklyn. And to think there are still 13 other grandkids missing!

The mission: To get three babies to sit still and smile!

My mom sent all three girl babies matching shirts. So we thought it would be adorable to get a picture of the three girls dressed in their shirts for grandma.

It was a great thought. Did we get the ideal picture we were looking for? I'll let you decide how you think it went.

Showcase of Kendall

I didn't think she could get up high enough to get into the toilet paper yet. Evidentally I was wrong.

She loves playing with Dilan and Atwood's cars.

Kendall loves giving me kisses...I love it too! Just this morning when she woke up, I brought her into my bed (I wasn't quite ready to get up).
Dilan turned on Dora for her to watch. She was watching it and then leaned down and gave me a kiss three times. It was very cute.

Because she is home with me so much and just because she is so cute, I find myself taking lots of pictures of her.

If we could only keep kids this innocent and sweet...no talking back or causing trouble. I think I have been pretty lucky. Despite the occasional sassy, back talking, our kids are great. They just have lots of energy like all other kids their age.
