Easter in March...what the heck?

It seemed so weird to have Easter in March, but I guess we don't have much control over that full moon and the timing of it. Anyway, the kids had a great Easter. Aaron had to work, but we did have my side of the family over for dinner and a little indoor egg hunt. It got tricky for the kids because the babies (especially Brooklyn) would walk around and open the eggs while they were still being hid. She would carefully take out the chocolate egg and eat it (foil and all) and so the older kids would end up with an empty plastic egg. The kids had a blast though.

To get all four kids looking at the camera and trying to take the picture can sometimes be tricky. I guess three out of four isn't bad right?

My girls looked absolutely beautiful in their matching dresses.

And of course my studly boys who are almost too cool to get a picture taken. They aren't quite as camera happy as my girls are,
but they are still very handsome.

School is in session

After church last Sunday, the kids came home and decided to
play school with their stuffed animals.
They all did a great job reading to their "students".

Atwood set up his school, but then went on to build something with his Lego bucket.

Super Jump Party Zone

One of Dilan's friends Zach Kayner had his 8th birthday at a place called Super Jump Party Zone. It is a great place for the kids to run and play on the big slides, a boxing ring, and obstacle course.

Kendall was having fun just wandering around. I did manage to take her down the slide a couple of times, but she eventually caught on and did not want to go on the slide anymore.

Kendall's first photo shoot...

So the story goes, when you have your first baby, you take a lot of pictures. As you have more kids, you take less and less pictures because you don't have as much time and are preoccupied with life. Well, while we have done a great job of taking lots of pictures of Kendall, it wasn't until she was 14 months or so that we finally had her pictures taken by someone other than ourselves. For Kendall's birthday, my long time friend Angie Penrose (who is a natural light photographer) gave her a little mini photo session. Here are just a few of the shots she got.

Although this sucker is really cute, it didn't quite have the same cherry taste Kendall was used to getting in a sucker. These two pictures totally capture Kendall's serious look. She was so serious the whole time (could be the fact that this was a new thing for her), but serious or not, she is still so dang cute.

This is pretty much what she did the whole time. I could not keep her finger out of her nose. She loves noses.

Welcome Home Grandma and Grandpa Kilstrom

My parents, Brian and RaeDell Kilstrom, served a two year mission for our church. They served at the Deseret Cattle and Citrus Farm down in Florida. They had a great mission, but were excited to get back and see the grandkids they hadn't seen for what seemed like forever. There were three granddaughter born while they were gone and two additions to our family when my brother Derek got married this past year so it was exciting for them to get home to see everyone.

So here are the kids anxiously awaiting the time when Grandma and Grandpa will be home. They were all so incredibly hyper, but I told them all to just sit and look out the window until they saw their car pull up. And they pretty much did just that.

It was such a funny site from the backside so I went outside to see what the picture looked like from the outside looking in.

he plays so cute with them.

And finally, after a very long wait...

They're back!

Megan did not leave grandma's side the whole night. I think she was afraid that if she let go, they might leave again or something.

This is Kendall in green and Brooklyn in blue. Brooklyn is six weeks older than Kendall and evidentally being that much older makes her very motherly towards Kendall. It is really cute now when Kendall sees Brooklyn she puts her arms out to go towards her.

Here are all of the kids eating dinner before Grandma and Grandpa get home. There are actually 9 more grandkids that are not in this picture. 3 of those 9 were not there that night because they live in Utah...
