Beautiful jewels

Rachel and Trent are SherRae's niece and nephew from Utah. They got to fly back with Grandma Kilstrom last week and will be here for quite a while this time. They came over last night to hang out and play for a while and Ms. Rachel came down looking like an amazing Queen from somewhere! She had put on a bunch of Megan's jewelry and was looking so beautiful. Megan snuck in on the picture herself! It is so fun to have them visit and play since we don't get to see them often enough.

School's out...

On the last day of school, we had a little celebration. We invited some of our neighborhood friends over for sandwiches, fruit, chips, and ice cream sundaes. It was so much fun. We had a little table in the garage and let the kids go nuts making their own sundaes. Our neighborhood is great and full of kids that our kids love to play with. Even though sometimes it gets crazy, I love that there are always kids around to play with.

Megan (in the orange and yellow swim suit in the back) has her hands in the air in celebration. The girls had so much fun.

Kendall got in on the action too. The sprinkler water was freezing, but she didn't care. She would walk right up to it and wait until the water hit her face and then she would run away. By the time she came in for naptime, she was obviously drenched, diaper and all!
It was a fun day and we can't wait for the fun summer days to come!

Love that smile...

Kendall has the cutest personality. She acts all quiet and shy when we are around people she doesn't know as well. She will give looks like "um, why are you looking at me and trying to talk to me because I really want nothing to do with you".
But, she is so much fun when she is around home or people she knows a little better. She loves to be outside and is content with walking around, going down this little slide, playing on the playset, jumping on the trampoline, drawing with chalk...you name it, she loves it. She is so much fun to have around.

Northwest Trek

For Dilan's 2nd grade fieldtrip, we went to Northwest Trek. It was a really fun day for me and Dilan. Aaron was able to do a shift trade so he stayed home with the other kids (after doing doughnuts with dad in Megan's class).

Anyway, we walked around for a while and looked at all of the animals and then we went on a little tram kind of ride. Dilan was having a blast and took most of the pictures. These were some of the better pictures that we took.

Here is a mountain goat.

These were bison and a baby bison.
Another bison. I guess they were still shedding their winter coats.

This is an elk. The elk antlers looked like velvet. I guess that is because they were still growing or something like that.

This last picture was the highlight of the day for me to see. I didn't get the best picture, but this was a mommy deer and baby deer. Our driver said the baby could not have been more than a few hours to a day old or so. It was very cool to watch the mommy deer cleaning up her baby.

It was a great day overall and I had a blast with Dilan and his friends!

Celebrating Dad...

Father's Day is in June, but it is also Aaron's birthday on June 1st so we get to have cake twice! Aaron is the best dad. Because of his schedule as a firefighter, he has more time with the kids during the day than most dads do. Our kids absolutely love their time with Aaron.

For his birthday he wanted Chocolate cake from Safeway with Raspberry filling and chocolate frosting. Can I just say how incredibly yummy that cake was? Aaron and I have been trying to eat better and exercise more, etc. so to eat a bunch of cake was a big treat, except of course the stomach ache we had later that night!

The kids decided what the message should say on the cake.
