Power Ranger time again

I wish you could just hear his voice with this picture. He really thinks he is so cool and very funny. Ok, so for the most part he is funny. Anyway, he had Dilan's power ranger morpher and just yells out "Magical Source, Mystic Force". This is what they say on the Mystic Force Power Ranger show. It was one of those times where you just "had to be there". The kids and I thought it was pretty darn funny.

Haircut time again

I now understand why my mom always kept my hair short as a little girl. It is so much easier to brush and take care of. Megan decided she was ready to cut her hair again. This time, she wanted to go a little shorter than last time. She said she wanted to have it short like her cousins Courtney, Hallie, Rachel, and Karsyn.

I think she is so cute (who wouldn't) and she totally loves it.

Community sucker...

Atwood asked if he could give Kendall a taste of his sucker, which she enjoyed very much.

Brynn saw and very politely asked to have some too. Of course Atwood was more than willing to share with cousin Brynn. These two are very funny together.

Summertime fun at Lake Tapps

This last week, we spent an afternoon at Lake Tapps and the kids got to play with their cousins. Of course they had a great time.
Kendall was so content to just sit and play with her spoon.

Uncle Derek took us on boat rides. Dilan jumped in the water with Kannen and Brevin (who were also known that day as the Jedi force to defeat all the bad guys with water noodle toys).

Megan was so great. She got in the water and swam around like a little fish the whole time.

Take me out to the ball game...

Isn't Safeco field awesome? You get a good view no matter where you sit.

Our friends from Idaho came to visit for a couple of weeks. Last summer, right before they moved, we all went to a Mariners game together. Because they were back to visit, we all felt the need to see another game together. It really wasn't the best game (they lost really bad), but the kids had so much fun together. Dilan said the Kress family should come back to visit every summer so we can always go to a game together.

Cotton candy anyone? I love cotton candy. I am not sure if it is actually the taste or the memory of having it as a girl with my grandparents at the Seafair Torchlight parade in Seattle. Either way, it still tastes very good.

Our seats were in the sun for a while and Megan was so hot.
After a little Sprite to cool her off, she was great.
This was Kendall's first Mariners game. She was really good through the whole game.

Here he is...

Our big 7-year-old stud. He was just getting ready to take off to the Mariners game with Aaron. For his birthday each year, he loves to go to a game. This year, it was just him and dad and he was super excited. It was a fun night for him.

After the party

And of course, Kendall sits and watches them all play!

After the party, Dilan's cousins all came over to have lunch and play on the water slide. After they left Dilan, Megan, and Atwood dried themselves off. I am not quite sure why they didn't just stay in their swimsuits. Before I knew it, they were outside in their dry clothes running and jumping in the water from the deflated slide. I can't blame them, the water does look inviting on a hot summer day.

Happy Birthday to you

Everyone was ready for some cake and ice cream.

For Dilan's birthday, we decided to have his party at a place called Super Jump Party Zone in Sumner. It is a big warehouse type building that has a double 15-foot slide, an obstacle course, and boxing ring. The kids played HARD for about 2 hours. They were so sweaty by the end of the party. Dilan (sporting the big grin in the middle with the camo shirt on) had a blast.

Our future's so bright...

We gotta wear shades!

Good times in the grass!

Ok, so Kendall discovered her shadow. I actually don't know that she knows it is hers, but she noticed a little something there. She would bend down to try and touch it and then it would move a little so she would try to follow it with her hand. It was so cute to watch her try and grab at it and then look up at me like "Um, how come I can't get this thing".

It's so nice that she can just sit and watch the other kids swinging or playing on the water slide. She is our Ms. Social and loves to be around her brothers and sister!

Kendall loves the grass. The other kids weren't quite sure of it when they were her age, but she loves to sit in the cool grass. Her eyes aren't open here, but I just couldn't resist that smile.
